Resources
I love web design. I want you to love it too and, even better, be great at it. So, I've compiled this section of resources to help you on your way to being a great web designer. Right now, it's focused on CSS, or cascading style sheets, the area of web design that I am most skilled in.
- CSS Notebook
- A collection of CSS techniques, tricks, and hacks in one place for easy reference. I basically created this cheat sheet for my own benefit, since I use several CSS techniques over and over again but don't want to have to write out the CSS from scratch each time, or have to remember every property to set. Hopefully you'll find it a handy reference as well.
- CSS Curriculum
- A collection of what I consider to be the quintessential articles on using and understanding CSS. While cheat sheets are handy for grabbing snippets of code that you already understand but don't have memorized, it's essential that you first take the time to really understand CSS. Otherwise, you'll just end up replacing your mess of table layouts with mess of CSS layouts.
